Please join the British Columbia Basketball Officials Association (BCBOA) as we look to raise funds for the fight against Cancer through our 3rd Annual Call A FOUL on Cancer – Pink Whistle Campaign. We ask you to help support this initiative by asking you, your family and friends to consider a small donation towards our cause.
The ‘Call A FOUL on Cancer – Pink Whistle Campaign’ strives to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society – BC and Yukon Division. Participating BCBOA Officials will be donning ‘Pink Whistles’ from February 1 – 29, 2012 during all levels of basketball in BC to show their support for all cancers. We encourage and appreciate any support with our fundraising goal of $15,000.
With your help and generosity, our donations through this campaign help fund cancer research, prevention, support and services for those affected by this disease in BC. As more and more men, women and children are battling this disease each year, we can take pride in knowing that our donations are helping fund researchers at the BC Cancer Agency at UBC, fight for public policies to make healthy living possible and providing support in the services the Canadian Cancer Society offers through their programs such as Cancer Information Service, Cancer Connection, Camps, Accommodation and Financial Support. Together we can help our fellow British Columbians living with cancer and relieve the effects on those individuals and their families.
Interested BCBOA officials are encouraged to donate a minimum donation of a full game fee (or more!).
For those non-BCBOA officials, if you would like to donate, you may do so through the Canadian Cancer Society by clicking on this link: Call A FOUL on Cancer
If you are interested in receiving a ‘Pink Whistle’ like the ones our officials will be wearing, you may do so by donating online with a minimum donation of $25 and then emailing
