Pink Whistle Campaign Tips Off PDF Print E-mail

Please join the BCBOA in raising funds to fight all forms of Cancer through our 4th annual Pink Whistle Campaign. You can support this effort by making a donation yourself and by asking your family and friends to consider a small donation towards our cause.

The ‘BLOW the Whistle on Cancer Campaign’ strives to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society – BC and Yukon Division.  Participating BCBOA Officials will be donning ‘Pink Whistles’ from February 1 – 14, 2013 during all levels of basketball in BC to show their support for all cancers.  We encourage your participation and appreciate all contributions towards our fundraising goal of $5,000.

With your help and generosity, our donations through this campaign will help fund cancer research, prevention and support and services for those affected by this disease in BC.   As more and more men, women and children are battling this disease each year, we can take pride in knowing that our donations are helping fund researchers at the BC Cancer Agency at UBC to fight for public policies to make healthy living possible and providing support in the services the Canadian Cancer Society offers through their programs such as Cancer Information Service, Cancer Connection, Camps, Accommodation and Financial Support.  Together we can help our fellow British Columbians that are living with cancer and relieve the effects on their families.

For more information on the Canadian Cancer Society, please see the attached file “Canadian Cancer Society Our Story”.

To donate, we politely ask BCBOA officials to consider donating a game fee (or more!) either through your association or online (link). Non-BCBOA individuals can donate directly to the Canadian Cancer Society by clicking on 2013 Pink Whistle
