Congratulations to Steve Seibel who was named Official of the Year at the Sport BC 45th Annual Athlete of the Year Awards banquet.

Since 1997, Steve Seibel has officiated basketball championships on a local, provincial, national and international level. As a regular referee in the Canada West Conference and the BC JUCO League, Steve has also taken part in high profile championships such as the 2008 Olympic Games, 2007 World Junior Championships, and the 2010 FIBA World Championships. In recognition of his officiating Steve was also appointed to the NBA Referee Development Program and NBA Summer Pro League in 2003
