Bill Denney Receives CABO's Highest Award

Congratulations to Bill Denney for receiving the Ted Earley Award.  Bill received this most prestigious honour at the CABO AGM held in Calgary on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
 

The criteria for the award are as follows:

bulletThe nominee is recognized as a superior floor official.

bulletSignificant length of service.

bulletVaried forms of service at the National and International  level.

bulletAdministrative-Leadership role:.

bulletInterpretive-Educative role. 

bulletNominated by the Province.

 

Bill began officiating in 1967 and was active for 34 years.  This year marks his 50th year contributing to basketball officiating.  He has been a local and provincial assignor/evluator for 35 years and has been a National Evaluator since 2003.  He received his FIBA license in 1983 and has refereed at many provincial and national championships.  He has also served  as an executive member for his local association and well as for the BCBOA where he is currently the director of officiating.  Congratulations, Bill and thank you for your lifetime of dedication and service to the game of basketball.
